Rejuvenation Station

Rejuvenation…The feeling of the warm sun gently kissing your face as you allow your body to sink into the coolness of pure white tropical sand. The scent of salt air with an aromatic spray of ocean mists over your body. A serene balance between reality and that secret place you can hide to regroup from daily stress. How often do we venture to this secret place? More importantly, how often do we experience warning signals of over load and just ignore the call to steal away for a moment of peace?

If you are like the rest of us, more times that not, you are on AUTO PILOT! It’s not enough to burn the candle at both ends during the week, we keep full steam ahead even on the weekends. When do we stop? Stop to take a moment to be thankful, prayerful, and aware that we only have one life to live and even God Himself rested on the seventh day.

The idea of rejuvenation is something that really needs to be explored in all aspects of our lives. The definition is, what ever the word means for you. Before the information age, many issues that we face now did not exist. The more we know, the more we do, the less we are actually living life to its fullest... just existing. So ask yourself, “what rejuvenates me, who I am I living for, and does my lifestyle sing to my higher spirit”? Finally, if the answer is “NO”, then its time to do some research to prepare for self healing…

Naturo What?

Many people ask, "what is Naturopathy"? The concept is simple yet the explanation is complex. I guess the appropriate question is. " How have I ( Dr. Reid) added to the conversation of natural healing to the patients I serve. And what makes my approach different from say,"your traditional doctor's appointment."

My answer would be relationship building! My relationship to you, being of pure intent, helping you (patient) understand the relationship between current states of health and future possibilities. Many of us struggle with what we think are the harsh realities of the aging body, yet the reality is, the relationship between our internal and external environment and disease.

So, what does the practice of Naturopathy offer? It offers a bridge between what we think we know about our health and the truth based on research, expert advice from me and a willingness to come from under the shadows of the brain washing of pharmaceutical commercials that give us 5 loud reasons to poison our system and 12 harmful side effects!
